CoPSS is a group of individuals with considerable collective experience of, and expertise in, the regional coordination and support of the delivery of surgical training in the UK.  From this base, it is able to offer advice and guidance to organisations engaged in all aspects of surgical training and education.  It cannot however provide assistance to individual trainees who are strongly advised to approach their educational supervisors, training programme directors and schools regarding any and all difficulties they may experience in their training.  Nor does it claim any role in the management, regulation or curriculum design of surgical training.
