Andrew Garnham
Andrew Garnham has been a consultant surgeon at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust since 2000 working as part of the Black Country Vascular Unit.
Specialising in general and vascular surgery, he completed an endovascular fellowship in aortic stent grafting and peripheral angioplasty in Leicester Royal Infirmary. He was the first program director for vascular surgical training in the West Midlands and has been the lead TPD for general surgery and faculty development in the West Midlands. He has been actively involved in surgical education since a trainee as President of the Rouleaux Club, subsequently been involved in the development of vascular training ASPIRE program though the education committee of the vascular society and the Royal College of Edinburgh vascular specialty board which he chaired. Latterly he has been President of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and has been head of school of surgery in the West Midlands since May 2023.
He is the current chair of CoPSS.

Paul Gallagher
Paul Gallagher, Chair of CoPSS since 2020, is the Head of the School of Surgery for North-East England & Cumbria.
A General Surgeon at Northumbria with expertise in minimally invasive and emergency surgery, Paul has held leadership roles in his Trust and served as Regional Training Programme Director for General Surgery for five years.

Robert Longman
Rob Longman is a colorectal surgeon, with subspecialist interests in colorectal cancer, anal cancer and complex endometriosis, at the Bristol Royal Infirmary since 2006.
Prior to being appointed as Head of School of Surgery in the south west in 2018, he was Training Programme Director for general surgery for 5 years and was previously the lead for simulation and skills development within the School of Surgery and has developed human factors training courses for surgeons at the Bristol Medical Simulation Centre.
Between 2008 and 2018 he was the Clinical Director of the Vesalius Clinical Training Centre – an innovative, world-class facility for delivering and developing novel training methods for surgical operations and procedures, and a centre for translational research in surgical care.

Nandan Haldipur
Nandan Halipur is Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
He has a keen interest in medical education and is faculty on National and international courses. Nandan has held key roles in surgical recruitment and training.

Dominic Furniss
Dominic Furniss trained in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in the Oxford Deanery.
He undertook fellowship training in microsurgery and hand surgery at the Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, and at the University of Tokyo, Japan. In 2013, he was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Oxford University NHS Trust.
He also has a major commitment to research at Oxford University.

Gillian Tierney
Gill Tierney is past President of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and Head of School of Surgery in the East Midlands.
She is a clinical advisor to Health Education England.
Her interests include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, emergency surgery outcomes, surgical training, and the extended surgical team.

Alastair Murray
Alastair Murray is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon working in NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Fife.
Alastair has an interest in service improvement and has been acting as Quality Improvement Lead for the Lanarkshire Trauma & Orthopaedics Team for the last year.
Alastair has also been an Associate Postgraduate Dean for NHS Education for Scotland since 2017.

Claire Edwards
Consultant Hand and Trauma Surgeon Ms Claire Edwards is a Consultant Hand and Trauma Surgeon at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since 2010.

Ginny Bowbrick
Ginny Bowbrick is a consultant vascular surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust.
Qualifying in 1989, she trained in general and vascular surgery before becoming a consultant in 2005. She has held key roles in medical education, including Chair of the Vascular Surgery SAC and Head of School of Surgery for Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

David Van Dellen
David van Dellen trained in General Surgery in the West Midlands and Manchester after qualifying from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He became a Consultant General Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary in 2012. His regional practice focuses on hernia and General Surgery, both open and laparoscopic, with a research portfolio specializing in complex hernia surgery.

Celia Riga
Celia Theodoreli-Riga is a consultant vascular surgeon and clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College Trust.
As Head of School of Surgery (HEE), she oversees surgical training for over 1,500 trainees in London.
She also serves on the UKRI/EPSRC Healthcare Technologies Strategic Advisory Board, contributing to advancements in surgical education
and healthcare technology.

Simon Sleight
Simon Sleight trained in General Surgery in North West Thames having completed a fellowship at St Mark's hospital.
He was appointed as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in 2009.
